Participation in a benefit concert to raise funds for a memorial created by noted Irish sculptor, Eamonn O'Doherty.  The goal is to erect a fitting memorial in Westchester County, to honor and remember those who perished during the Great Hunger of 19th Century Ireland and to serve as a reminder that hunger should never again be allowed to exist in the midst of plenty.  As a means to this end of alleviating hunger, this monument will also serve as a focal point for educational program in Westchester County and for activites designed to directly eradicate hunger.
